About (MISSING MAN Recordings)

Missing Man Recordings AB is a music recording studio founded by Fredrik Millvid and Dan Östlund. We work as technicians, producers, mixing and mastering engineers as well as musicians at MMR. We have worked together in the studio business for more than 15 years. Together we have built three professional music studios and a number of home studios as well.

Fredrik is a drummer and has played in many different musical settings and genres from the Band of the Royal Swedish Army and classical orchestras to rock bands. He has also worked as a drum teacher in adult education.  He often takes the roll of an add on musician in the studio since he plays a variety of instruments.

Dan is a guitarist and songwriter and has worked as a guitar teacher. He has worked in a music store and on top of that he has made sound installations and has worked with live audio. In addition, Dan is an electrician who has passion for technology and is as such a great asset to the studio. Dan is MMR’s technology expert and he mends much of the studio’s gear himself.
